Add to your phone or tablet

You can save Antibiotic Ally to the home screen of your phone or tablet. It will then open like an app — full screen, with its own icon — and you will not need to type the address again. It takes less than a minute and it is free.

No download from an app store is needed, and nothing is installed on the device itself. The guide always shows the latest version when you open it.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

1. Open the guide in the Safari browser (the compass icon). This feature does not work in Chrome on an iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing upwards, in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
4. Tap Add in the top right corner.

An Antibiotic Ally icon now appears on your home screen, next to your other apps.

Android phone or tablet (Chrome)

1. Open the guide in the Chrome browser.
2. Tap the three dots at the top right of the screen.
3. Tap Add to Home screen (on some devices it says Install app).
4. Tap Add or Install to confirm.

The icon appears on your home screen, and the guide opens full screen like an app.

Useful to know

• You can move the icon anywhere on your home screen, or keep it in a folder, just like any other app.
• To remove it, press and hold the icon and choose Remove (this does not delete your diary or notes — those stay on the device in the browser you used).
• If you add it on more than one device, remember your symptom diary, consultation notes and side-effect records are saved separately on each device, as explained in the Privacy Notice.
• The guide needs an internet connection to read the pages.
